Russell Hitchcock, one half of the dynamic duo of Air Supply turns 77 years old today. So in celebration of his birthday, today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 is from Air Supply with “Just As I Am”.
Between 1980 and 1985 Russell along with Graham Russell hit the top 40 in the U.S. 11 different times and 8 of those songs went top ten, including their #1 hit “The One That You Love” in 1981. In 1985 they released their second album called “Air Supply” which featured “Just As I Am” a song that became their final chart hit reaching #19.
Happy Birthday to Russell Hitchcock! Air Supply will be doing a couple of shows at a casino in Niagra Falls later this month, but in the meantime check out their video for “Just As I Am” it’s today’s Forgotten 45.
