Welcome to the Friday Forgotten 45 at 3:45!  We’re sending you into the weekend with a song that was on the charts April 10th of 1982, from Paul Davis it’s “65 Love Affair”.

The singer from Mississippi recorded 8 Top 40 hits between 1974 and 1982 and two #1 songs on the country charts with duets with Tanya Tucker and Marie Osmond.  Best known for his ballads like “Cool Night” and “I Go Crazy”, his song “65 Love Affair ended up being his highest charting pop hit reaching #6 in 1982.  Ironically, Davis hated the song calling it “bubblegum” and a “sellout”!

Check out this video of Paul performing on “Solid Gold”.  “65 Love Affair” is today’s Forgotten 45 sponsored by Honey Creek Furniture in Manchester, Eastern Iowa’s fastest growing La-Z-Boy store.  You’ll find them at honeycreekfurniture.com.
