This Sunday morning at 8 on American Top 40 the 80’s, Casey Kasem counts down the top songs from March 12th, 1988!  And today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 can be heard on the show, from Belinda Carlisle it’s “I Get Weak”.

Born in Hollywood California, the former lead singer of the Go-Go’s went solo in 1986 and had a nice run of hits like “Mad About You” and “Heaven is a Place on Earth”.  “I Get Weak” became her third solo top 40 smash, just missing the top of the charts at #2.  Written by super song-writer Diane Warren who originally had Stevie Nicks in mind for the tune.

From this week in ’88 it’s Belinda Carlisle with “I Get Weak”!  The Forgotten 45 is sponsored by Honey Creek Furniture in Manchester, Eastern Iowa’s fastest growing La-Z-Boy store.  Check them out at honeycreekfurniture.com.
