105.7 KOKZ is your home for classic American Top 40 shows every weekend!  Sunday morning at 8 join Casey Kasem for the top songs from November 6th, 1982, it’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Rush with “New World Man”.

The Canadian trio of Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart are Rock & Roll Hall of Famers in Canada and in the United States with sales of over 26 million albums, yet only one top 40 chart hit!  From their “Signals” album in 1982, Rush finally made the top 40 with “New World Man” adding more synthesizers to their high quality work.  The song reached #21 on the Hot 100.

Of course the two surviving members of Rush announced their Fifty Something Tour in 2026 that will have them in Chicago at the United Center playing 4 shows there next July.

I found a 1984 live video of Rush performing “New World Man” it’s today’s Forgotten 45 sponsored by Honey Creek Furniture in Manchester, Eastern Iowa’s fastest growing La-Z-Boy store.  You’ll find them at honeycreekfurniture.com.
