Every Saturday night from 9 to midnight it’s a three hour 80’s party on 105.7 KOKZ as Nina Blackwood hosts Absolutely 80’s! One of the great songs you’ll hear this weekend is today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Erasure with “A Little Respect”.
The British synth-pop duo of Andy Bell and Vince Clarke formed in 1985 and while they had an incredible run of success in England, Erasure only had three top 40 hits in the United States. Two of those appear on their 1988 album “The Innocents” which thanks to heavy MTV airplay featured the #12 hit “Chains of Love” and “A Little Respect” which went to #14.
A fun Throwback Thursday 80’s tune, it’s Erasure with “A Little Respect”. The Forgotten 45 is sponsored by Honey Creek Furniture in Manchester, Eastern Iowa’s fastest growing La-Z-Boy store. You’ll find them at honeycreekfurniture.com.
