This Sunday at 4 on Retro Pop Reunion, Joe Cortese brings you a Box Set Weekend, putting a spotlight on some of the biggest holiday releases this month. One of the bands you’ll hear on the show has today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, it’s Duran Duran with “New Moon on Monday”.
The group recently released their 16th album called “Dance Macabre” and rose to fame in the early 80’s with hits like “Hungry Like the Wolf”, and “Rio”. “New Moon on Monday” appears on their album “Seven and the Ragged Tiger” and the song reached the top 10 in 1984 becoming one of their 21 top 40 hits in the States.
