This Saturday morning at 9 105.7 KOKZ brings you American Top 40 the 70’s! This weekend Casey counts down the top songs from December 4th, 1976, it’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Little River Band with “It’s a Long Way There”.

The song was their first of 13 top 40 hits in the U.S. reaching #28 on the charts. Written by Graeham Goble in 1972, the song was inspired by his regular trips from Melbourne to visit his family in Adelaide.

Music critics at the time compared the song to Crosby, Stills, & Nash, in fact one writer said “It’s a Long Way There” was the best song Crosby, Stills, & Nash never recorded!
