This Sunday afternoon at 4 on Retro Pop Reunion, Joe Cortese salutes the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees and plays 4 hours of the greatest songs from the video music era.  Here’s one of the songs you’ll hear on the show, today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45  from the Human League “Human”.

The song was the first hit from their 1986 album “Crash” and the band wasn’t really happy with the progress on the album while they worked on the new songs, so the record label brought in red hot producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis who had wanted to work with the group.  They wrote 3 songs for the project, one being “Human”, which became the group’s 2nd and final #1 hit, following their earlier 80’s smash “Don’t You Want Me”.

Check out the video for “Human” by the Human League, today’s Forgotten 45.
