With the Labor Day Weekend approaching, I thought I’d feature a work tune today on the Forgotten 45 at 3:45. How about working at the Car Wash from Rose Royce?
The song was the group’s first hit and it became of the biggest disco hits of the 70’s. Featured as the theme song to the movie of the same name, “Car Wash” was a #1 pop & soul hit in 1976 and went on sell two million copies. The soundtrack album won a Grammy Award in 1977.
The mood is cool, and the boss don’t care if you sometimes act the fool! Workin’ at the “Car Wash” today’s Forgotten 45!
