If we’re going to be dealing with Excessive Heat Watches & Warnings this week in Eastern Iowa, we need to be thinking cool thoughts, so for today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, how about a “Cool Change” from the Little River Band.

Released in August of 1979, “Cool Change” was the 2nd hit from their “First Under the Wire” album which delivered two top 10 hits, along with “Cool Change” there was “Lonesome Loser”.  Even though the band was from Australia, the song interestingly enough was never released as a single there.

The song written by lead singer Glenn Shorrock was given a special award from the songwriters organization BMI for over 2 million radio plays in the United States.

Be safe out there and enjoy this live performance of “Cool Change” by LRB today’s Forgotten 45.
