Today we say Happy Birthday to Verdine White of Earth, Wind, & Fire who his celebrating his 72nd birthday today. For our TuNesDay Forgotten 45 at 3:45 we go back to 1979 for “Boogie Wonderland” from Earth, Wind, & Fire.
Verdine is the bass player and the last original member still active with the group. Earth, Wind, & Fire charted 16 different hits on the top 40 charts, won 6 Grammy Awards, and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. This summer you’ll find them out on tour with Lionel Richie for the Sing a Song All Night Long tour that will be in St. Paul August 4th, and in Chicago August 5th.
