The song was the 2nd hit from their “Fore” album, the follow up to their breakthrough album “Sports”. “Stuck With You” went to #1 and all told, the album delivered five top 10 hits. “Hip to Be Square” peaked at #3 on the charts in 1986.
Since the band was based in the Bay Area, the song also features former 49er players Joe Montana, Ronnie Lott, and Dwight Clark on backing vocals! Always a fun 80’s band, it’s Huey Lewis and the News with today’s Forgotten 45!
