We received a text from James in Fayette (KOKZ text line 319-364-1057 powered by SmartphonesPLUS!) who wanted to hear “Lady” by the Little River Band for Sheila. Well James it just so happens the song will appear on American Top 40 the 70’s this Saturday from 8 until noon, so it’s today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45!
The Australian band delivered 12 top 40 hits in the U.S. between 1976 and 1983, “Lady” was a top 10 hit and was the third and final single from their “Sleeper Catcher” album. Still out touring today, in fact my brother in Minnesota saw them this past weekend with Firefall and Pablo Cruise in Red Wing.
