Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band – War (live)
A live cover of Edwin Starr’s “War” was included in the box set of Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band’s ‘Live 1975-85′. Because of fans’ experiences of his epic 3 and sometimes 4 hour concerts, it was a great idea to release many recordings over the ten year touring period in a 5 record/3 CD set of 40 songs.
It was a hot seller and included some live hits, including “Fire”, a cover of the Pointer Sisters hit (#46) and “War”, which hit the Top 10 and peaked at #8.
The live set went on to be awarded 13x Platinum sales Award from the RIAA.
