Every Saturday night from 9 to midnight, it’s a 3 hour 80’s party with Nina Blackwood and Absolutely 80’s! And from her show, I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, “The Valley Road” by Bruce Hornsby & the Range.
Following the success of their “The Way It Is” album which delivered a #1 song with the title track and “Mandolin Rain”, the band delivered their follow-up project in 1988 with “Scenes from the Southside”.
“Valley Road” went on to be a #5 hit unfortunately the final to 10 hit for the group. The album also featured “Jacob’s Ladder” which also went on to be a #1 hit for Huey Lewis & the News.
