Friday means an Absolutely 80’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, as I pull a song from Nina Blackwood’s Saturday night show on KOKZ from 9 to midnight. Today’s choice is “Electric Blue” by Icehouse.
The song was the 2nd and final Top 40 hit for the Australian band following their debut single “Crazy”. “Electric Blue” was co-written by Iva Davies of the band along with John Oates from Hall & Oates. He got involved with the band after letting them know he was a fan, in fact John said if Icehouse hadn’t recorded the song, it would’ve been done by Hall & Oates..
