Happy Birthday to Foreigner’s Mick Jones who celebrates his 78th trip around the sun today. For today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, we go back to 1984 for the band with “That Was Yesterday”.
The song was the second hit from their “Agent Provocateur” album following the success of their #1 tune “I Want to Know What Love Is”. Mick says the song is about a relationship that failed. You still feel that there’s a chance to resurrect it.
The song reached #12 on the charts in early 1985, and after this song, only had two more top 10 hits with “Say You Will” and “I Don’t Want to Live Without You”.
