This Saturday morning from 9 to noon, 105.7 KOKZ brings you American Top 40 the 70’s. This week Casey Kasem features December 20th, 1975 it’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Fleetwood Mac with “Over My Head”.
We’re still reeling over the loss of Christine McVie a few weeks ago at the age of 79. She wrote and sung the song which was the debut single from their Fleetwood Mac album.
She said the lyrics were inspired by her working relationship with Lindsey Buckingham, so could at times be cold, and at others brilliant.
The song ended up reaching #20 on the charts in early 1976. Check out the live performance of “Over My Head” on the Midnight Special, today’s Forgotten 45.
