On this rainy/sleety/lousy weather day, we go back to this week in 1989 for the last #1 song from Phil Collins “Another Day in Paradise” it’s today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45.
The song not only was his last #1 hit, it was the last #1 hit of the 80’s AND the first #1 song of the 90’s! A departure from some of his more fun 80’s hits “Paradise” tackled the problems of homelessness. His album “But Seriously…” went on to win a Grammy Award for Record of the Year.
