Every Sunday morning from 8 to noon, 105.7 KOKZ brings you American Top 40 the 80’s with Casey Kasem. This Sunday he counts down the top 40 songs from October 18th, 1980 it’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from the Doobie Brothers and “Real Love”.
The Doobie Brothers music, in all of it’s forms, was a staple of the 70’s and 80’s and they continue to tour 50+ years later. “Real Love” was a hit in the Fall of ’80 and went on to become the 3rd biggest chart hit for the band reaching #5 behind only their #1 songs “Black Water” and “What a Fool Believes”.
It was from their album “One Step Closer” which was the last Doobies album that featured Michael McDonald until their 2014 release “Southbound”.
Check out Michael McDonald when not all of his hair was silver and a live performance from 1982 from the Doobies with “Real Love” today’s Forgotten 45!
