Sunday morning from 8 until Noon, 105.7 KOKZ brings you American Top 40 the 80’s. This Sunday Casey features the top songs from August 1st, 1987, it’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 from The Outfield “Since You’ve Been Gone”.
We all know Josie’s been on a vacation far away for a long time, “Your Love” was their biggest hit song from their “Play Deep” album. “Since You’ve Been Gone” is from their follow-up release “Bangin” from ’87. The band shot the video at the Beckton Gas Works and the damaged buildings there had been used for the movie Full Metal Jacket.
The song reached #31 on the charts and sadly the distinctive voice of the band Tony Lewis passed away in October of 2020 at the age of 62.
