Today happens to be my birthday and that means it’s also Linda Ronstadt’s as well, she celebrates her 76th today. To celebrate, we go back to 1975 for “Heatwave” by Linda as today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45.
One of the greatest female singers of all-time, she has won 11 Grammy Awards and has charted 38 Top 40 songs including “Heatwave” that hit the top 5 in ’75. Throughout her storied career she collaborated with several superstars in making memorable music that stands the test of time.
Sadly because she suffers from progressive supranuclear palsy, she had to retire from singing and touring over ten years ago.
