For today’s Forgotten 45 we set they way-back machine to 1982 when a young band out of San Francisco was just getting started. Huey Lewis & the News released their 2nd album “Picture This” and hit the top 10 with “Do You Believe in Love”.
Today’s selection was their second hit, “Hope You Love Me Like You Say You Do” a song that was on the charts 40 years ago today and reached #36 on the Billboard Top 40. The album opened the door for the band, but it was their Sports album that really kicked the door down.
Huey Lewis & the News went on to record 19 Top Ten hits and like many in the 80’s capitalized on making memorable videos for MTV.
