All this week on the Forgotten 45 at 3:45, we are paying tribute to music stars who have recently passed away.  Today we pay tribute to ZZ Top’s Dusty Hill who passed away last summer at the age of 72.

Dusty was a part of ZZ Top with Frank Beard and Billy Gibbons for 50 years as the Texas rockers gave us iconic classic rock staples in the 70’s like  “La Grange” and “Tush” but like so many in the 80’s their popularity soared with MTV and their cinematic videos.  Their “Eliminator” album sold 20 million copies world-wide and gave us “Sharp Dressed Man”, “Legs” and “Gimme All Your Lovin”.

Today’s Forgotten 45 is from their 1985 album “Afterburner” which kept the bands successful streak going.  “Sleeping Bag” was a number 8 hit on the charts and featured yet another entertaining video.
