This Saturday morning from 9 to Noon, Casey Kasem counts down the top 40 songs from May 1st, 1976 and that’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45. It’s from the Commodores with “Sweet Love”.
This was the Commodores first ever top 10 pop hit, reaching #5 in 1976 and it was their first song that moved away from their more funky sound, and ultimately made Lionel Richie one of the most popular singer-songwriters of all-time.
Check out the 70’s fashion and style during an appearance on American Bandstand. The Commodores with today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45!
