As we roll into the weekend, the Friday Forgotten can be heard again tomorrow night on Nina Blackwood’s Absolutely 80’s from 9 to midnight.  It’s from Tone Loc and his top 5 platinum smash “Funky Cold Medina” in 1989.

“Medina” was the follow-up to his other big hit “Wild Thing”, you can see Tone Loc along with Vanilla Ice, Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath, Young MC, Rob Base &  Color Me Badd at the Delaware County Fair in Manchester on July 15th.

While the song is decidedly rap, it pulled samples from  Hot Blooded by Foreigner, I Can’t Get No Satisfaction from the Stones, All Right Now by Free and You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet by BTO.

The Forgotten 45 is sponsored by Pro Wall Construction, they are seeking individuals with skills in finish carpentry, sheet rock, and finishing.  They need experienced and semi-experienced workers.  Call (641) 696-5919, veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.

Take a trip back to the late 80’s with Tone Loc!
