Saturday morning at 8 (yes 8am!) Casey Kasem takes us back to April 21st, 1979 a countdown that includes 16 Disco songs, but for today’s Forgotten 45, I’ve found this classic.  “What You Won’t Do For Love” by Bobby Caldwell.

Bobby was signed to TK Records in Miami back in 1978 where he recorded his first album.  Bobby thought another track from his album would be the hit, but his label disagreed.  They sent “What You Won’t Do for Love” to R & B stations and did their best to hide the fact he was white, as to not alienate the black audience.  But when Bobby started to tour, the song took off, hitting #9 on the charts and leading to this classic You Tube video!
