This weekend Casey’s Kasem takes us back to March 30th, 1985 on American Top 40 The 80’s. You’ll hear today’s Forgotten 45 on that show, it’s Foreigner and “That Was Yesterday”.
The song was the second hit from their Agent Provocateur album following the success of their #1 smash “I Want to Know What Love Is”. While critics gave Yesterday favorable comments, Lou Gramm disagreed with the decision to release the song because it was their 2nd ballad in a row. Ah….every episode of Behind the Music ends the same way. Band wants to rock. Ballads make them filthy rich. Band breaks up!
