Since Winter apparently doesn’t want to leave us, I picked a song for today’s Forgotten 45 that reminds me of cold, cloudy days, “Life in a Northern Town” by the British group Dream Academy.
The song reached #7 on the charts in February of 1986 and can be heard again this Sunday on American Top 40 the 80’s from 8-Noon.
The song took nearly a year to record and incorporates classical music with African-styled chants (hey ma ma ma ma) and really stood out on the radio then and now! Check out the video from the Dream Academy, today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45.
