Glenn Frey – The One You Love

The first single from Glenn Frey’s ‘No Fun Aloud’, was a smooth jazz-pop killer that sounds great on the radio!

“The One You Love” (not to be confused with Air Supply’s “The One That You Love from a year earlier) was helped by a video on the young MTV that had been around less than a year.

The signature saxophones come from Jim Horn and Ernie Watts. Watts plays the recurring sax lick whole Horn handles the solo at the end.

The song peaked at #14 on the Hot 100 but nearly topped the U.S. Adult Contemporary chart, stopping at #2!
