Jonathan Edwards – Sunshine
The debut from a country folk song writer, named Jonathan Edwards was not supposed to be a hit.
In 1971, he released his first album, ‘Jonathan Edwards’ and had planned to release “Please Find Me” as the first single but in a stoke of serendipity, the engineer erased that track at the end of the session by mistake. To fill the spot of the first single, “Sunshine” took it’s place.
It first became popular in Boston before going nationwide. It raced up the charts, peaking at a very respectable #4 on the Hot 100.
