Rush – Nwe World Man

Sadly, Canadian trio, Rush, didn’t do well on the pop charts and Top 40 radio in the states. They only had one song hit the Top 40 and that was in 1982.
It was the last songs written and recorded for the ‘Signals’ album as producer, Terry Brown, wanted to even out the timing for each side of the cassette.
“New World Man” is credited to all three members, the late Neil Peart, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson. It topped the Canadian singles chart for two weeks but only made it to #21 on the U.S. singles chart. It hit #1 on the Billboard Top Tracks chart and is the only Rush song to do so.
Hear it again this Saturday on AT40 – The 80s!
