John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band – C-I-T-Y
The voice and the band behind Eddie & The Cruisers, John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band hit the big-time with the popularity of the soundtrack to the movie, Eddie & The Cruisers. The movie was a box office flop but when HBO got the rights to air it, it caught fire with viewers and helped propel the soundtrack and the band behind it to the Hot 100.
In 1985, the band released their second studio album, ‘Tough All Over’ with the title track becoming a hit, peaking at #22. The second single, “C-I-T-Y”, did even better, peaking at #18 on the Hot 100.
