This band from the Netherlands (not the Netherworld or Netheregions – totally different places), Diesel is really only known for one GREAT song here in the U.S.
Many compare “Sauselito Summernights” to Steve Miller Band and I can totally see that. But as for Diesel, I’m sure they accept that as a compliment.
It debuted on the Hot 100 at #86 and thanks to listener requests to a station in Michigan that started playing this unknown song, it spread quickly around the country, but did better here in the midwest region.
“Watts In A Tank” was the album released in 1981 and can still be found on vinyl in used record stores – if you’re lucky (that’s where I found mine). However, the CD is LONG out of print and wherever you find a copy, you’ll probably pay a premium for it. Great rock album though!
