Honeymoon Suite – New Girl Now
Canadian band Honeymoon Suite released their self-titled debut album in 1984. The very first track is the band’s most memorable, even though here in the U.S., they had 2 songs hit higher on the Hot 100!
Two songs from their second album, ‘The Big Prize’ charted higher than “New Girl Now, released in 1985. Remember “Feel It Again” (#34) or “What Does It Take” (#52)? No? Me either!
“New Girl Now” is by far the biggest hit in the listeners mind, here in the U.S. anyway… Honeymoon Suite IS from Canada so there, there are many more of their songs that are well-known. It peaked here in the states at #57 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at #7 on the U.S. Rock chart.
Hard to believe it wasn’t higher.
