Atlanta Rhythm Section – Imaginary Lover

in 1978, ARS (Atlanta Rhythm Section) scored a platinum album with ‘Champagne Jam’.
The big hit from it was “Imaginary Lover”. A song describing one’s idea that not having anyone, romantically, in your life, doesn’t mean you can’t still be romantic with yourself. It even mentions, in so many words, that sometimes it’s better “alone” since there’s no drama or arguments or things that make a relationship hard.
It climbed the Hot 100, quickly, and peaked at #7, becoming one of the band’s most notable and memorable hits!
