The year before, Fat Boys hit the Hot 100 and peaked inside the Top 20 with a rap remix of “Wipeout”, recorded with The Beach Boys! That hit #12 that summer. The album, “Crushin'”, was certified platinum based upon the sales that that song created, alone.
With the success of that, they tried to duplicate it in releasing a rap remix of “The Twist” with Chubby Checker! It certified gold and peaked at #16 and was quickly forgotten.
