This Sunday morning from 8 to noon join Casey Kasem for American Top 40 the 80’s as he features the top songs from July 26th, 1980. One of the tunes you’ll hear on the show is today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Ali Thomson with “Take A Little Rhythm”.
A true one-hit wonder, the singer out of Scotland moved to London in the 70’s and was signed to A&M Records in England where he recorded a couple of albums. The first was “Take A Little Rhythm”, while the album barely made the top 100, the title track did become a big hit in the states in the Summer of 1980 reaching #15 on the charts becoming his only hit song.
