The colorful Cyndi Lauper is celebrating her 73rd birthday today, so for our Forgotten 45 at 3:45 we go back to 1984 for her hit “All Through the Night”.

Dubbed the “Queen of Quirky Pop”, New Yorker Cyndi Lauper burst onto the music & MTV scene with her 1983 debut album “She’s So Unusual” which sold over 7 million albums and she became the first female artist in history to have 4 top 5 hits on a debut album (“Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”, “Time After Time”, “She Bop”).  Produced by Todd Rundgren, “All Through the Night” became the 4th smash from the album reaching #5 on the charts.
