This Sunday morning at 8 join Casey Kasem on KOKZ for American Top 40 the 80’s!  This weekend he features the top songs from June 13th, 1987, it’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from The Outfield with “Since You’ve Been Gone”.

The English band had more success in the U.S. than they did at home, their debut album “Play Deep” in 1985 went double platinum and sent “Josie on a vacation far away” on “Your Love”, the group’s biggest hit.  Their follow up album was released in June of ’87 called “Bangin” and released “Since You’ve Been Gone” a song that reached #11 on the rock chart, but only #31 on the Hot 100.

The band disbanded after the death of guitarist John Spinks in 2014 and sadly singer Tony Lewis passed away in 2020.  From the Summer of 1987 it’s The Outfield with “Since You’ve Been Gone” it’s today’s Forgotten 45.
