The legendary Cher turns 80 years old today, so in celebration for today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 we go back to 1987 for her song “I Found Someone”.
Cher has been in the public eye for over 60 years starting with Sonny & Cher both musically and on their television show. She’s also an Academy Award winning actress appearing movies like “Mask”, “Silkwood”, and “Moonstruck”. She’s the only artist with #1 songs in seven consecutive decades from the 60’s until now.
All in all, Cher has recorded 17 top ten songs and one of them was “I Found Someone” a song originally written for Laura Branigan by Michael Bolton, but it was Cher’s version that became the bigger hit reaching #10 in 1987.
Cheers to 80 years! It’s Cher with “I Found Someone”, it’s today’s Forgotten 45.
