Congratulations to Phil Collins who is one of the inductees into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2026.  Today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 is from Phil, from 1988 it’s “Two Hearts”.

Born and raised in London, Phil started playing drums at the age of 5 and was also an accomplished actor in his early teens before turning his attention to music joining Genesis in 1970.  Between Phil’s work with Genesis and his solo career, he was part of more top 40 hits in the 80’s than any other artist.

In his solo career he recorded 7 #1 songs, one of which is “Two Hearts” a song that appears on the soundtrack for “Buster”.  The song won both a Grammy and Golden Globe Award in 1989.

Along with Billy Idol, Sade, Oasis, the late Luther Vandross and more, Phil will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in November.  Congrats Phil!  Check out the video to “Two Hearts”.  The Forgotten 45 is sponsored by Honey Creek Furniture in Manchester, Eastern Iowa’s fastest growing La-Z-Boy store.  You’ll find them at honeycreekfurniture.com.
