I hope you had a great Thanksgiving weekend!  To give you a break from shoveling snow, today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 was on the charts this date in 1989 from Kix it’s “Don’t Close Your Eyes”.

It was also on this date December 1st, 1989 that National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation debuted in theaters. The 3rd of the Vacation movies, Clark Griswold just wanted to have the best holiday ever and hilarity ensued with Cousin Eddy and his RV, the Jelly of the Month club, and more!  The movie made over 70 million dollars at the box office and it’s likely playing on TV somewhere right now!

As for Kix, they had only one top 40 hit as “Don’t Close Your Eyes” peaked at #11 on the charts and was certified gold with sales of over 500,000 copies.

Remembering the debut of Christmas Vacation with Kix and today’s Forgotten 45!
