105.7 KOKZ is your home for classic American Top 40 shows every weekend! Sunday morning at 8 Casey Kasem features the top songs from November 8th, 1986, it’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Peter Cetera & Amy Grant with “The Next Time I Fall”.
The former lead singer of Chicago, Peter Cetera sang on four #1 hits, “If You Leave Me Now” and “Hard To Say I’m Sorry” with Chicago and the 1986 songs “Glory of Love” and “The Next Time I Fall”. The last two songs appear on his first solo album after leaving Chicago called “Solitude/Solitaire” an album that was certified platinum.
“Next Time I Fall” was written by Bobby Caldwell & Paul Gordon with Cetera in mind, then it was decided Amy Grant would join him. At the time she was best known for her success in Christian music and she went on to record 8 other top 40 pop hits.
