Happy Halloween from KOKZ!  Today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 is sort of a spooky tune and video from Chris De Burgh it’s “Don’t Pay the Ferryman”.

Christopher John Davison was born in Argentina, his father was a British diplomat.  De Burgh was his mother’s maiden name which he used professionally. He signed his first record deal in 1974 and found some fans opening up for Supertramp. His first real international success was in 1982 with his album the “Getaway” which featured his first American hit “Don’t Pay the Ferryman”, a song that went to #34 on the charts. His biggest hit was the 1986 top 5 hit “The Lady in Red”.

It’s Chris De Burgh with “Don’t Pay the Ferryman”, today’s Forgotten 45 is sponsored by Honey Creek Furniture in Manchester, Eastern Iowa’s fastest growing La-Z-Boy store. You’ll find them at honeycreekfurniture.com.
