For today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 we go back to the charts on October 8th, 1988 for Huey Lewis & the News with “Perfect World”.
The group out of San Francisco was on quite a run of success in the 80’s with their classic albums “Sports” and “Fore”. In the Summer of ’88 they released their fifth album “Small World” which didn’t do nearly as well as their previous album, but it did deliver their 12th and final Top 10 hit in “Perfect World”, a tune that went all the way to #3 on the charts that year.
