Today is Kevin Cronin’s 74th birthday! In celebration today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 is from REO Speedwagon with “Don’t Let Him Go”.
The band out of Champaign-Urbana, Illinois had some success in the 70’s with songs like “Roll With the Changes” and “Time For Me to Fly” but was their 9th album “Hi Infidelity” in 1980 that exploded their popularity. The album was certified platinum selling over 10 million copies and featuring hits like “Keep On Loving You” and “Take It On the Run”. “Don’t Let Him Go” was the 3rd hit from the album reaching #24 in the Fall of ’81.
