40 years ago David Letterman did his first Top Ten list on his late night show, so for today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 we go back to September of 1985 for Michael McDonald with “No Lookin’ Back”.

The song was the title track to Michael’s second solo album released in July of ’85.   For the first time he co-wrote and co-produced every track on the album with help from friends like Joe Walsh, David Pack from Ambrosia, and Kenny Loggins who co-wrote the song “No Lookin’ Back”.  The song was a #4 rock hit and reached #34 on the Hot 100 in ’85.

And on September 18th, 1985 David Letterman debuted the long running top 10 list with the Top Ten Words That Almost Rhyme with Peas!  Check out Dave’s first Top 10 list and the video from Michael McDonald with “No Lookin’ Back” it’s today’s Forgotten 45 sponsored by Honey Creek Furniture in Manchester, Eastern Iowa’s fastest growing La-Z-Boy dealer.  You’ll find them at honeycreekfurniture.com.
