The legendary actor Robert Redford passed away today at the age of 89 at his home in Utah. In tribute today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 is from his film “Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid” from B.J. Thomas it’s “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head”.

“Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” was released in 1969 and received mixed reviews at the time, but over the decades it’s status as a classic has been cemented. Written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David for the movie “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head” became the first #1 hit of the 70’s and won an Oscar for Best Original Song.
