I can’t tell you how happy I am to be back today.  For those who haven’t heard, I lost my mom on Monday.  It’s been a rough few weeks but we’re thankful she’s no longer suffering and is a peace.  My mom LOVED music, and one of her all-time favorites were the Bee Gees, so in honor of my mother, today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 is “Nights on Broadway”.

I remember buying my first album in 1975, it was from the Eagles with “One of These Nights”.  So in addition to wearing that out, the Bee Gees “Main Course” album was getting heavy airplay from my mom!  Released in May of ’75, the album featured three hit songs “Jive Talkin”, “Fanny (Be Tender With My Love)”, and “Nights on Broadway”, a song written by the Brothers Gibb and a tune that went to #7 on the Hot 100.

With much love and admiration for my mother, check out a Midnight Special performance of “Nights on Broadway” by the Bee Gees.  The Forgotten 45 The Forgotten 45 @ 45 sponsored by Honey Creek Furniture in Manchester. Eastern Iowa’s fastest growing La-Z-Boy store. https://www.honeycreekfurniture.com/
